Mike Yeung is a key member of Beacon Consulting Group’s New York City construction consulting team. Since joining Beacon in early 2019, Mike has become an essential contributor, supporting Project Managers and Engineers across a wide range of construction consulting assignments. Mike holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Regis University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and International Business from Temple University.

Over the past six years, Mike has worked closely with Beacon’s Project Management leadership team, gaining invaluable first-hand experience in analyzing construction projects—both from a financial perspective and through the lens of project management oversight.

Mike’s strong communication skills, analytical expertise, maturity, and attention to detail make him exceptionally well-suited for construction project consulting. His ability to quickly assess and quality check complex project cost spreadsheets and related project documents enables Mike to identify key issues efficiently, helping clients make well-informed decisions that mitigate risk and keep projects on track.

Mike has extensive experience providing construction consulting support services across all the following areas:

• Cost-to-Complete Analyses
• Change Order Review
• Preparation of Bid Packages
• Review of Construction Cost Estimates
• Analysis and Organization of Construction Project Documents
• Construction Loan Monitoring

Through his extensive work with construction project managers and engineers, Mike has developed valuable technical skills and project oversight experience, allowing him to approach each assignment with a well-rounded understanding of both financial and operational challenges.

Before joining Beacon, Mike built a strong foundation in financial analysis at Standard & Poor’s, where he served as a Primary Credit Analyst in the Structured Finance division. This financial expertise adds significant depth to his consulting work, particularly in cost analysis and project financial assessments.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with his family, reading, playing recreational pickleball, traveling, and watching movies. Mike is also an avid basketball fan and follows the New York Knicks every season. Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Mike resides in New Hyde Park, NY with his wife and their two grown children.

With his diverse background, technical expertise, and strong problem-solving abilities, Mike continues to be an invaluable member of Beacon’s NYC consulting team—helping clients navigate complex construction challenges with clarity and confidence.
