Upon termination of a precast concrete installer, Beacon Consulting Group was retained by a leading Surety to take over and manage the installation of architectural precast concrete panels on a high-profile building construction project in New York City. The 35-story residential building is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Elizabeth Paquet is managing the project for Beacon, working together with the Precast Fabricator. As of this writing, Beacon is helping to manage the completion on this highly technical Concrete Panel installation.

The building is located on East 83rd Street, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in NYC and a short walk from Central Park and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, the residential highrise features many classical architectural details (see photos). The precast concrete panels are an important part of the overall design, enabling the tower's facade to blend in well with the neighborhood's many older, historic buildings.

The overall value of the concrete panel work on this project is close to $17 million. As of this writing, the exterior panel work is expected to be completed within the first quarter of 2023. The 489-foot-tall tower includes 86 individual luxury condominiums. The total square footage of the building is 205,877 SF. On the ground floor, there will be 3,033 square feet of retail space. The building will also have parking for 26 vehicles.

The condominiums being sold in the building come in one-bedroom to six-bedroom layouts. Home prices in the building reportedly range from $2 million (for a one bedroom) to more than $32.5 million (for the most-expensive of the building's three penthouse units). Among the building's many luxury amenities is a 70-foot pool with double-height vaulted ceilings and honed limestone walls located on the 17th floor. When completed, there will also be a state-of-the-art fitness center, a yoga studio, a spa with a steam room and sauna, playrooms, and a private cinema.
