Happy March! March is always a great month here in the Northeast U.S., with longer, warmer days signaling the end of winter. For Beacon, March 3, 2023 represented a major milestone: The 20th Anniversary of the founding of Beacon Consulting Group, Inc (03/03/2003). Please see my note in this month's E-News regarding our 20th Anniversary and some of Beacon's highlights over the past 20 years.

Some other important dates this month: March 20th marks the start of Spring. Friday March 17th is St. Patrick's Day, which was originally a time when the Spring festival "Ostara" (and similar celebrations) were held in Ireland and Northern Europe starting back in the 8th century. Ostara marked the Spring equinox, where night and day became equal in length, and celebrated the annual "renewal" in nature which occurs every Spring. March Madness (Div. 1 NCAA Basketball Tournament) starts this week too.

March 8th was International Women's Day, not yet an "official holiday" in the U.S., but maybe it should be! Some of Beacon's team members celebrated IWD Iast week in NYC when Beacon's Elizabeth Paquet was a featured speaker at this month's Women In Surety meeting. It was a great event run by a fun group (more info). Of course, March also means the ramp up of many construction projects across the U.S., as better weather permits more exterior site work—always a busy time of year for our team as we manage projects across the U.S.
