Happy 2024! Our team will be in New Orleans this month (Jan. 24-26) for the ABA's Fidelity & Surety Law (FSLC) Midwinter Meeting. This is always a great conference and Beacon will be co-hosting some fun after-hour events in conjunction with the meeting. In this month's E-News, we have a staff profile of Dan Newcombe who joined Beacon Consulting Group back in 2006. With more than 28 years of experience in the construction field, Dan is truly one of the GOATs when it comes to on-site construction project management and dealing with virtually every type of challenge that can come up on a job site. Dan is one of the most personable and funny people you will meet. He's a great communicator, extremely knowledgeable, and very good at managing on-site personnel. However, he is also quite serious when it comes to getting jobs done the right way and ensuring that projects are completed in a safe and efficient manner.

Finally, we also profile a Surety Claims Consulting project Beacon recently completed in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where our Florida office is now based. Beacon VP Kieran O'Connor and his team have been doing a great job taking on projects across Florida and the Southern U.S. This particular project was a critical one to get finished. It entailed renovations at a transitional housing facility. The Surety entrusted Beacon to help facilitate and monitor the completion of the project so that that facility could get back up to full capacity, providing meals, a safe place to stay, and related support services for homeless residents of Broward County, FL.
