Cebi Stough joined Beacon Consulting Group's NYC office in the late summer of 2017. Cebi has quickly made herself a valuable member of the NYC team, supporting the office's many ongoing consulting projects, coordinating the busy travel schedules of various project managers and engineers, and helping the New York operation to run efficiently by taking on a wide variety of assigments which are too numerous to list here!

On August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina made landfall in Louisiana, with a storm surge of more than 20 feet and 120-mph winds devastating many thousands of homes and buildings. The loss of life, displacement of hundreds of thousands of residents and catastrophic property damage made Katrina one of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history.
Every year, the Beacon Consulting Group team looks forward to the Mid-Winter Meeting of the ABA TIPS Fidelity and Surety Law Committee. In late January, the Mid-Winter meeting was held in Washington, D.C. for the first time. Beacon, along with some of our long-time partners in the Surety area were involved with hosting some fun networking events during the conference. Project Overview: Beacon was retained by a national real estate investment fund to provide Construction Consulting services related to a large construction loan being made to a NY-based developer. The financing was being used by the developer to help fund the renovation of two adjacent apartment buildings in the exclusive SoHo area of New York City. The buildings were being completely renovated to create luxury condominiums.
As reported in previous E-news updates, Beacon Consulting Group, Inc. was selected to provide construction consulting / surety consulting services related to the completion of various construction projects at Dayton Manor, a 116-unit apartment building located in Brooklyn, NY. The apartment complex is owned by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and provides residential housing for federal employees (and their families) who work at two correctional facilities located in Brooklyn.

The Ehrnfelt Recreation Center located in Strongsville, OH is a state-of-the art public recreation / community center managed by the city's Parks and Recreation Department. The General Contractor who had been working on the renovation of four locker rooms at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center was recently defaulted during an interior renovation project. Thus, Beacon Constulting Group was retained by a leading Surety company to help manage the completion of the project and to also help with resolution of payment bond claims.
Early last year, Beacon completed a construction consulting engagement at MBTA's Assembly Station, located in Somerville, MA. The new train station is located approximately 4 miles Northwest of downtown Boston, on MBTA's Orange Line (one of MBTA's four major commuter rail lines serving the area).
The NJ Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) has a large construction project ongoing at one of its facilities in Northern NJ, consisting of a wide range of work. The Wayne, NJ MVC complex, located in a densely populated area approximately 20 miles west of New York City, is reportedly one of the NJ MVC's busiest locations, providing a wide range of services to NJ residents such as issuing vehicle registrations, administering drivers license tests (written & road test), providing vehicle inspections and many other motor-vehicle-related services.
