Beacon Co-Hosts Irish Luncheon at 2020 ABA FLSC Winter Meeting
Every year, Beacon co-sponsors an "Irish Luncheon" in conjunction with the ABA FLSC Winter Meeting. This year, our Irish Luncheon was held On Friday January 31st at Smith & Wollensky, one of New York's best steakhouses and a NYC landmark. The luncheon was a great opportunity to network with our friends, clients and partners in the Surety & Fidelity world in a friendly and fun atmosphere, with delicious food, live music, good conversation, a few pints, and many laughs.
Special thanks go to our co-sponsor for the event, Shields | Mott LLP, especially Adrian D’Arcy, a Partner at the firm, who was the co-host and co-organizer of the luncheon along with Beacon's President, Dennis O'Neill. Beacon would also like to thank Daniel Mulhall, Ambassador of Ireland to the United States, who took time out of his busy schedule to address the attendees and speak about Ireland and the strong, cooperative relationship between Ireland and the U.S. We would also like to thanks Irish Consul General Ciarán Madden who heads up Ireland's Consulate office in New York City.
The afternoon also included live music performed by Irish-born singer / songwriter Enda Keegan and a very interesting presentation of Irish landscape photography from photographer Jim Hamel. Jim is a former attorney and founder of a Dallas law firm who is now a full-time professional photographer. Jim travels the world capturing amazing images and has spent an extensive amount of time photographing Ireland's unspoiled coastline and wild countryside. Jim's photos truly capture the beauty of Ireland's rugged landscapes.
