Beacon Project Manager Elizabeth Paquet Participates on Expert Panel at Surety Claims Institute (SCI) Annual Meeting
Elizabeth Paquet participated on an expert panel at the 48th Annual Surety Claims Meeting of the Surety Claims Institute (SCI) held at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge, MD (June 21-23, 2023). The title of the panel's topic was "Price Escalation, Inflation, and the Post-Pandemic World - Impacts to the Surety." Along with Elizabeth, the other invited panelists included Melissa Rice (Crum & Forster) and Melissa Lee (Attorney at Manier & Herod). As a construction expert and project manager involved with managing and monitoring numerous surety-claims-related projects in recent years, Elizabeth brought the construction consultant's perspective to the panel.
Beacon's team has a great deal of first-hand experience dealing with the impacts of supply chain disruptions, construction material price increases, and other inflation-related (and pandemic-related) factors which have heavily impacted the construction industry in recent years. This is Elizabeth's first time participating at the SCI meeting, but she has previously participated on panel discussions at other industry events and most recently was the featured speaker at the Women In Surety event held in New York City in March of 2023.
