Beacon Staff News: Dennis O'Neill Participates in 5K Fundraiser for Massachusetts Special Olympics

Beacon's founder Dennis O'Neill has been involved in many 5K and 10K fun runs for charity over the years. Over this past winter, Dennis ran in the Boston Jolly Jaunt in order to raise funds for Special Olympics of Massachusetts (SOMA). The 5K race/fundraiser, whose main sponsor is the New Balance Foundation, included a 5K race route through Boston's Back Bay neighborhood.

Dennis was part of the team "Johnny's Angels" which has been running to raise funds to help support Special Olympics athletes since 2010. Over the years, the group has reportedly raised more than $150K for the Special Olympics.
