Beacon Selected to Provide Construction Consulting / Surety Consulting Services for Self Storage Building Project in Miami, Florida
Beacon Consulting Group, Inc. has been retained by a leading Surety company to provide construction consulting / surety consulting services related to a 5-story self storage building construction project located in the Coral Way neighborhood of Miami, Florida. When completed, the self storage facility will be approximately 17,400 SF (including the building and parking lot areas of the site).
Beacon's team has been providing a range of construction consulting services on behalf of the Surety, including:
- Financial analysis of all construction work associated with the Surety bond
- Provide and manage an Escrow Account for control of contract funds
- Monitor / facilitate construction progress on behalf of the Surety
- Assist with construction management on behalf our client
The original estimated cost for the construction project was in the range of $6 Million. Construction at the site had originally been underway from June 2016 until August 2017 (prior to Beacon's involvement). Remobilization started again in January of 2018. According to the developer, one unique aspect of the project will be the integration of a climate-controlled wine storage area within the facility.
