Beacon Retained By Leading Surety Company To Help Complete Important Interior Renovation Project at One of Ohio's Largest Public Recreation / Community Centers in Strongsville, OH

The Ehrnfelt Recreation Center located in Strongsville, OH is a state-of-the art public recreation / community center managed by the city's Parks and Recreation Department. The General Contractor who had been working on the renovation of four locker rooms at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center was recently defaulted during an interior renovation project. Thus, Beacon Constulting Group was retained by a leading Surety company to help manage the completion of the project and to also help with resolution of payment bond claims.

Upon Beacon's retainer, the project was approximately 50% complete. The scope of work for the project includes the renovation of four locker rooms—two in the basement (poolside) area and two on the main floor of the Recreation Center. When Beacon first started to work on the project, the basement locker rooms had been completed (and were in use). Work on the first-floor locker rooms was soon to begin at the time of writing.

The City of Strongsville is located Cuyahoga County, Ohio, approximately 20 miles southwest of downtown Cleveland. The Rec. Center is a very important multi-use meeting and recreation space for the community. Thus, finishing the locker rooms quickly and efficiently is an important, high-profile project for the City.

Among the many features and amenities at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center are:

  • Aquatic Center (2 Pools, Saunas, Steam Rooms, Whirlpool)
  • Basketball & Volleyball Courts
  • Cardio & Strength Training Rooms
  • Indoor Track
  • Locker Rooms
  • Game Area
  • Rooms for Group Classes
  • Party and Event Rooms
