Beacon Consulting Group Presents at 2024 Intact Surety Claims Conference
Dennis O'Neill, Beacon's President & Founder, and Sr. Project Manager Elizabeth Paquet presented at this year's Intact Surety Claims Conference. The event was held in Chicago (May 15-16, 2024) and was attended by leadership and staff members from Intact Surety's U.S. and Canada offices, as well as invited guests and consulting partners. Beacon's presentation was focused mainly on construction technology, but also provided an interesting and informative overview of current statistics and trends in the construction industry.
Some of the key technologies and trends that Dennis and Liz covered in the presentation included:

Beacon's presentation provided many examples of how new technologies are already being implemented in the construction industry and also highlighted emerging technologies and processes which are now being developed and tested. Related to overall construction industry trends in the U.S. (and globally), the presentation provided:
- Financial statistics about size of U.S. & global construction investment.
- Construction industry employment statistics.
- Public & private construction expenditures over past 30 years.
- Construction industry unemployment rates over past 20 years.
- Trends in the construction labor force (e.g. demographics).
- Some key trends and issues impacting the industry.
