Beacon 2023 Corporate Meeting & Holiday Party: Highlights & Photos
On December 7th and 8th, Beacon's team came together in Boston to celebrate our 20th Anniversary and hold our annual corporate meeting and holiday party. It was a truly memorable two days, with our corporate meeting held at the beautiful Omni Hotel in Boston's Seaport District. The festivities kicked off on Thursday night with great drinks, food, and competitive darts at "The Flight Club." (*Please see the photos below & click on any image for a larger view).
On Friday, our corporate meeting started with seven different Beacon staff members giving presentations related to specific professional service areas and lessons learned during 2023. We would like to say a big Thank You to our invited guests noted below who graciously made the time to participate, starting with the Panel Discussion section of the meeting.
The lively and informative panel discussion was masterfully moderated by Christopher Brasco, Senior Partner at the law firm Watt Tieder. The title of the panel discussion was "10 Risk Management Maxims That Will Change Your Approach to Project Delivery." In addition to Chris Brasco, the other panel participants included: Dennis O'Neill (President, Beacon Consulting Group), Rachel Walsh (Regional Vice President, Liberty Mutual Surety), Jonathan Burwood (Construction & Surety Attorney, Watt Tieder), Jennifer Whritenhour (Assistant Vice President, Intact Insurance Specialty), and Chris Morkan (Claim Director & Director of Surety Claims, Hudson Insurance Group). The panel discussion was followed by an enlightening (and highly entertaining) presentation by attorney Todd Braggins (in character as "John Wick"!). Todd is a Managing Partner at Ernstrom & Dreste, LLP. His presentation was titled "Litigation Holds: What They Are and Why You Need to Beware of The Boogeyman!" Todd never fails to deliver. His presentation was informative, entertaining, and highly theatrical!
Following our corporate meeting, our team celebrated with a memorable holiday party and delicious food at Legal Sea Foods - Harborside. Our gratitude also goes out to the Beacon team members who helped organize this year's fantastic get-together, especially Cheryl Cooke, Monica Xiao, Janet Mosey, and all of our staff presenters!
