ABA Surety & Fidelity Committee Mid-Winter Meeting Photos: A Look Back At Events & Fun With Beacon Team, Friends & Clients
Every year, the Beacon Consulting Group team looks forward to the Mid-Winter Meeting of the ABA TIPS Fidelity and Surety Law Committee. In late January, the Mid-Winter meeting was held in Washington, D.C. for the first time. Beacon, along with some of our long-time partners in the Surety area were involved with hosting some fun networking events during the conference. Below are some photos from the events that Beacon and our partners hosted.
Every year, the Beacon Consulting Group team looks forward to the Mid-Winter Meeting of the ABA TIPS Fidelity and Surety Law Committee. In late January, the Mid-Winter meeting was held in Washington, D.C. for the first time. Beacon, along with some of our long-time partners in the Surety area were involved with hosting some fun networking events during the conference. Below are some photos from the events that Beacon and our partners hosted.
On January 25th, a brisk and bright day, Beacon's President Dennis O'Neill rallied a group of hardy runners for a late afternoon "Monuments Run." These passionate athletes snuck in a great workout, while taking in some of the incredible historic landmarks which surround Washington D.C.'s National Mall. Among other sites, the group's route took them past the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Vietnam Memorial, the Capital Building and the Whitehouse. A great time was had by all!
Later that evening, Beacon co-hosted a networking reception and dinner at a very unique venue—"The International Spy Museum." The Spy Museum features the largest collection of international espionage artifacts ever placed on public display, such as spy gadgets, weapons, bugs, cameras, spy vehicles, and other technologies. Attendees had the chance to tour the museum's exhibit rooms, including a fun installation celebrating 50 years of James Bond movie villains, with movie props, costumes, a Bond car, and classic movie clips. On Friday, January 26th, Beacon co-hosted a luncheon at the landmark Dubliner Irish Pub & Restaurant located in Washington's historic Union Station neighborhood. Many famous political figures and dignitaries have hoisted a pint and dined at the Dubliner, from Presidents to Prime Ministers, Senators, House Members, and Vice Presidents. Beacon's cosponsor for the event was Shields Mott LLP (see photos, next page). The atmosphere was made even more authentic and enjoyable (at both events) by the background music provided by the talented singer / songwriter Enda Keegan, who hails from County Kilkenny, Ireland.
