Woburn Memorial High School
Beacon took over the management of construction of the Woburn High School in the month of April with the goal of having the school ready for September classes (less than 5 months away). Beacon was tasked with completing and closing out the high school building and re-letting the remaining work associated with the outside athletic facilities, landscaping and parking. The total re-let value was $6 million. The project was completed on time and within the anticipated budget.
Project Highlights
Woburn Memorial High School is a 360,000 square foot, four-story building with aluminum curtain wall & windows, brick and metal panel façade. The building includes all state of the art multimedia educational tools and an in-house cable studio. Coinciding with the completion of the building was new outdoor athletic facilities, landscaping and parking on the site of the previous, demolished high school. Included in the athletic fields are a set of synthetic turf multi-use fields.
